Coire Alpacas is a family business run by Gerry Thompson and Lucy Dolan, along with our children, Sorcha and Finlay.
We imported our foundation females in 2004 from Australia with the aim of breeding animals with dense, fine fleeces and sound conformation that can compete with the best in Europe.
To that end we have invested in two stud males: EP Cambridge In the Groove, a superfine light fawn son of NWA Ltd Ruffo, and Forge Macusani, a white son of UK Champion Wessex Mateus. Both are available throughout Scotland in 2008, and we hope to add a third top quality stud to our selection.
