We started keeping Alpacas in 2007 when we retired although we had been interested in them for years. We had 4 gelded boys to begin with and have added another 2, also gelded. It is not our intention to breed alpacas, just to build a small(ish) bachelor herd so that we can enjoy their company.
Shirley spins the boys’ fleece then knits up garments and we are interested in finding more uses for this valuable product. The alpacas create quite a lot of interest and we welcome visitors to introduce them to these lovely and intelligent creatures.
